Hello hello!!! Bryan and I are in the car, loaded down, presents and Christmas pies in tow, and our annual, holiday, nomadic journey has begun!! We LOVE Christmas and we are so ready to celebrate with our families.
As of this past Monday, I can officially say that I completed my very LAST chemotherapy treatment of 2014!! Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. I now have this next week off and I don’t have my next treatment until January. My last appointment went well though. My counts were down slightly but nothing terrible and now I have a week off to recover.
And what better way to recover than to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior?! Jesus came to earth in the form of an infant so that he could grow into the man who would daily exemplify the love of God, until the moment when he would die on the cross for our sins… Woah! If that doesn’t blow your mind, I don’t know what would. As you are with families over the next few weeks, I hope you’ll take time to really reflect on what it means for you personally that Christ was born to die for YOU. Read the Christmas story (Luke is my favorite) and thank God for this past year and all the blessing and trials that it held. We all know that life is full of both and even thought Jesus died, He rose again so that He can walk with you daily through the good and the bad. What good news!!
As the Angels sang to the shepherds,
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Thank you ALL also for walking with Bryan and I through this crazy journey of 2014. Your prayers, financial support, and love have helped us to not only survive but thrive! We love each and every member of #TeamKCT!
